Ruby Bingo

An archived review of a bingo site that has closed

This bingo site has closed

Ruby Bingo is no longer trading and nothing on this page is an offer, a recommendation or a link. It is kept as a record of a review this site published when the brand was running, which was in the 2000s.

Any bonus, jackpot, card price or percentage quoted below is a quotation from that old review and is not a current offer. It could not be claimed if you wanted to: the site is gone. Bonus terms at licensed British sites have also changed since — playthrough is capped at ten times and a single offer may no longer mix bingo with casino games. What the terms mean now.

For sites that are trading and licensed, see the sites we have checked.

What it was

What survives of our Ruby Bingo review is a promotions schedule, and it is a vivid document: double bonus bucks and points on Wednesdays, double on Birthday Bingo on Tuesday and Thursday nights in Cabaña Café, double on the Up and Lower Nabors games on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in Liberty Lounge, and a Sunday session in Liberty Lounge with five special games at a guaranteed $250 prize each and a fixed $1,000 jackpot on a dollar-sign pattern, at six, seven, eight, nine and ten in the evening.

The software

The Cabaña Café network.

What it tells you about the period

The hall names place it on the same network as Prestige Bingo and You Bingo. The schedule itself is the interesting part: named pattern games at fixed hours with guaranteed prizes, which is precisely how a good bingo room is still built. What a modern site adds is the room rules panel, where that schedule and those guarantees are written down rather than announced in a promotions email.

The name also persists elsewhere: Ruby Fortune still trades as a casino, without bingo, and it is on our international list. It is not this site.

Why this page still exists

Most bingo sites from this period are gone, and the usual way to deal with their review pages is to delete them or to redirect them to something that pays. We have done neither. A review this site published is part of its record, and a reader who arrives from a twenty-year-old link deserves to find out what happened rather than to be redirected to an advertisement.

There are no commercial links on this page or anywhere in the archive. The full archive holds twenty-four of these.
